According §4 of the statutes, the membership corporation exclusively has corporative members.

Eligible for membership are all companies and associations of the livestock breeding and housing sectors, the feeding and supplement industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the meat production and dairy sectors, the manufacturing industry, the nutrition sector, the biotechnology sector as well as other companies, institutions and associations that support the purpose of the membership corporation and have both headquarters and the major field of activity in Germany.

The managing committee decides on the admission on request in writing.
